Are you a student at Cookeville, Livingston, or Springfield? We have library specialists there, too! See the Cookeville, Highland Crest, and Livingston Library Sites Guide for research assistance availability.
Do you ever wish you had your own personal guide to navigate the library’s resources? Research Guides can give you a jump-start on that research project or assignment. Guides are created by Vol State librarians and recommend library resources and web resources for any subject, including citations! See the full list of Research Guides available on the website.
Practice that Presentation
You may know about the library’s group study rooms but did you know we have a room dedicated to practicing presentations and speeches? The Practice Presentation room includes technology for recording your speeches to improve your performance. To reserve the Practice Presentation Room, email email@example.com
Borrow Materials from Other Libraries through Interlibrary Loan
The end is near! (The end of the semester, that is.) Maybe you’re procrastinating on doing research for your final paper. If so, now is the time to start looking for sources. Thigpen Library has vast amounts of books and articles. However, there may be that one item you need that could be the difference between an A+ and an A-. We can request books or articles from another library but it may take a week or two, especially for books. Thus, time is of the essence. For more information, or to request a book or article, see the Interlibrary Loan page on the library’s website.
Take a breather!
The library has a great collection of popular DVDs and books! Stop by the first floor of the library to take a break from studying with a movie or a fun, easy read.
If all else fails….
Do you just need a quiet place to rest your head between classes? We have those too!
