Where can Vol State faculty and staff find information on problem-solving? In the library, of course. As most of you know, the focus of Vol State’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is problem solving or, more specifically, improving students’ problem solving skills. (The QEP is part of the accreditation process for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.)
On the Open Reserves shelves located near the Reference Desk, you’ll find a collection of books and DVDs on problem solving, problem-based learning and critical thinking. We’ll be adding to the collection over time. If you know of a book on these topics that you would like to see added to the collection, just contact Louise Kelly, email@example.com.
