Join us at 2:30 p.m. in the Library in the Rosemary Rogers Research Center on Tuesday, Sep 27.

The ins and outs of library databases

Databases – huh? is a 20 minute Learn@the Library workshop which meets on Tuesday Sep. 21 and introduces you to the the basics of using the library’s databases. Databases are THE source of articles from magazines and journals; this is good stuff to know. Your professor expects you to use these information resources so come by on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Library’s Rosemary Rogers Research Center.

As a bonus  two Vol State t-shirts will be given away.

Come to the library’s Research Center at 2:30 on Tuesday, September 13 and leave in 20 minutes with a NoodleBib account and the knowledge to create a citation your professor will love. (You also have a chance to win a Vol State t-shirt on Tuesday and a flash drive in October.)

Learn@ the Library workshops with door prizes

Each semester your Vol State librarians offer workshops to help students with their research. This semester we will present 3 topics plus we will be giving away Vol State t-shirts, a SEEK water bottle, and a flash drive. Each session lasts from 15 to 20 minutes and meets at 2:30 p.m. in the library’s Research Center.

Brought back by popular demand is the workshop “NoodleBib: the easy way to do citations.” Our other two workshops are “Databases – huh?” and “Books and e-books.” More details about each workshop will appear later in our blog.
