Library Events for April

Did you know that the week of April 7 through April 13, 2019 is National Library Week? Now that you do, stop by one of your VSCC library locations and thank the library employees, all of whom work hard each day to provide you with access to quality resources and great services!

April Events at Thigpen Library in Gallatin:

April 8 & 9 from 8:30am to 10:30am (or while supplies last): power forward with your studies by grabbing some free coffee in the Library Lobby

April 11 from 2pm to 4pm: free popcorn in the Library Lobby (co-sponsored by the Department of Athletics)

April 29 & 30: Therapy Dogs will be back to give you some stress relief with their happy smiles and wagging tails! Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. (Co-sponsored with Office of Student Engagement)

April 29 & 30: From 3pm until 9pm each day, the Jim Moore Conference Room (214) in Thigpen Library is being made available for an “Adult Learners Study Session with Kids” — adults can study while supervising their children in this enclosed space. Caveat: there is no childcare provided so the parent/guardian is solely responsible for maintaining supervision of their children (and for ensuring a quiet environment) at all times.

April Events at Thigpen Library in Springfield, Cookeville, and Livingston:

Granola bar giveaways are coming your way: April 16 & 17 at Springfield and the week of April 29th at Livingston.

A “Poetry Creation Station” is available at Cookeville: happening now!
